What do people want in Groupvine, version 2?

Posted by Scott at 1:20 pm

About a month ago I did a survey for people using Groupvine and asked what you’d like to see added on.

Here are the results!  (drumroll, please)…

Note that these results are displayed in percentages.

Comment or drop me a line (scotthurff at thegroupvine dot com) if you have any more ideas or recommendations.

What surprised me about the data is that there wasn’t much concern for text reminders or collecting / sending money online. While I was at Wake, people hated dropping off cash at random dorm rooms and always were texting each other. Now texting is even bigger.

Hey, I am just wondering if there is or could be some kind of feature where we could have online forms that people can fill out and submit to the creator of the page. For instance…currently we have online forms for chartering forms for new clubs, merit money forms, etc. So clubs fill them out online and the information is automatically sent to me.
Let me know what you think! I’m a newby so…heck call me an idiot, I don’t care!

    Caytee,

Thanks for the suggestion! We’re currently working on a total redesign of Groupvine, and we’ll see if maybe we can work online forms into the new version.

Hm. I just read through the whole website and started thinking this might be a really useful tool for us. But I was stymied at the first field on the signup screen: “School.”

    Nuts.

    What’s a non-academic skydiving club to do…?

    Hey Todd,

We’re in the early stages of developing the Groupvine site, and right now we can only support groups that are affiliated with a college or university.

However, accounts for non-academic groups are a feature we’re considering, and definitely something you should look for down the road.
